Sales Quotes
The color of the indicators is determined in a manner similar to that of sales orders, with one exception: quantities from other quotes are disregarded. This decision is based on the understanding that quantities in quotes are often uncertain, and many quotes may not ultimately be converted into orders. When creating a quote, users can assess whether they would be able to fulfill the items if the customer approves the quote at that moment. It is important to note that if there are multiple lines for the same item number in the current quotes, all these lines are included in the calculation.
To more easily get insights on the demand of an item on sales quotes, the Apportunix Inventory Availability Indicators extension adds a Quantity on Sales Quote (flow)field on the Item Card page.
Accordingly, it's possible to specify whether the quantities in sales quotes should be factored into the determination of the indicators.
When the Include Demand from Quotes in Availability setting is set to false, all quantities in sales quotes are disregarded in determining the indicator within the orders.
